For a while now, the T-Bot has been getting into trouble at school for using “potty words”.  By which I mean scatological terms rather than adult-style obscenities.

They are, you know, the type of words little boys use, and think they are funny, and if you act bored or tell them that they are baby words they soon get tired of using them.

Of course if you make a big fuss about them - because obviously language of this kind is 100% likely to lead to Future Deviancy and/or Delinquency - they become a huge and very funny game. Which is what has happened in this case.

Now, for the sake of continuity and to help the T-Bot not get in trouble at school, we have been forced to institute an all-out ban on potty words in the home as well. And because he is generally sort of obedient at home, he follows this rule quite a lot of the time.

But Newsflash! He is not thick! He has already found very clever ways to circumvent the ban. Like the superhero he has made up, and taped posters of all over the house. The superhero’s name? PPAAS. Giggle giggle, hahaha! (Get it? It’s got PP in it!!! And AAS!!!!)

All I can say is hats off to him really. While trying to act all unimpressed, I am secretly thrilled that he has reached a stage where he can get a little sophisticated with language :-0

Now, the other thing he has been getting noticed for at school is sticking out his tongue at teachers. I guess I should be glad he is not pulling out a knife or baring his teeth, but I really have no control over this one. He doesn’t pull tongues at home - unless of course there is a camera present and then anything goes (Hmm, maybe he has a career ahead of him in Reality TV?).

Yesterday I said he couldn’t have another cookie and then didn’t pay much attention when he started madly scribbling a la Rolf Harris. Until he presented me with a delightful drawing which has since been stuck to the fridge, drawn on the back of, pulled off by the baby, stepped on, screwed up and thrown out... before I could get a photo.  Suffice to say it was a virtual tongue pull. What can you do but laugh?
